A Turmeric latte is something I love to make on a cold day. If you google this golden spice you will find and array of health benefits including it's ability to fight infection, reduce inflammation, as well as improve your mood.
As many benefits as this Turmeric latte produces, sometimes on a 90 degree day like today, you don't feel like drinking something hot. That's where my Golden Turmeric Smoothie saves the day.
This drink packs all the health benefits of a golden latte but is cool and refreshing. It's only a few ingredients, not too sweet but also not as spicy as traditional Turmeric lattes can sometimes be.
A pro tip: You will notice a dash of black pepper on the list of ingredients. It is very important that you don't skip this ingredient, because a little black pepper is needed for your body to absorb the turmeric properly.

GOLDEN TURMERIC SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
- 1 CUP FROZEN MANGOES
- 1 CUP ALMOND MILK
- 2 DATES
- 1 INCH CUBE FRESH GINGER (WITH SKIN) OR 1 TBS GROUND GINGER
- 1 TSP TURMERIC
- DASH OF BLACK PEPPER
- 3 TO 4 ICE CUBES
Instructions:
- MIX ALL INGREDIENTS IN A HIGH SPEED BLENDER
- ENJOY!
